Fast Electric Scooter

When discussing Razor scooters, you must know that even their fastest scooter only goes 15 miles per hour. That’s the E300. So these aren’t the scooters that are heavy, can carry two people, don’t need a charge for hours. We’re talking here about scooters for children, and the E300 is fast enough for most parents hearts and nerves. For the fast dogs that go on the road with cars, look for bigger scooters online.

A fast electric scooter would be more like the XM-420M, the X-Treme, the Vectrix Super Fast, and others. Some of these scooters reach top speeds in the 60’s. This isn’t a toy any longer and is regulated by the Department of Motor Vehicles. In other words, you have to have a license for some of the scooters you can take on the road. It just makes sense. They are more a type of economic/eco motorbike than they are a scooter for youngsters.

If you are looking for a fast electric scooter, the places to find them are also online. I haven’t taken a long time investigating where to research, but when researching the Razor scooters, it became apparent there is a niche for the small and fast electric scooter. One note of caution as a parent, I would be very cautious with this scooter because of the speed you can reach and their small size. They are hard to see even when going slow. The speed simply increases the chances for something crazy to happen.

On the flip side of this, the new fast electric scooters can really do a good deed in today’s ecology. They have a pretty green footprint in that many of them do not require many long hours of coal burning generated electricity to recharge their batteries. The problem with a lot of what is out there today claiming to be green is that it still requires gas, or carbon based fuel to power a electrical plant to be able to provide the electricity to recharge the cells.

True green would be to someday have a solar cell that recharged a battery that was capably of powering one of these electric scooters for a useful distance. The expense of the materials used in something like that are prohibitive as of today, but soon I think we’ll see more and more scooters and other devices use the power from the sun to recharge and control things that we depend heavily on the carbon based fuels for.
